Say No to Rompers

I received an email this week from Wantable, declaring that the romper is the new maxi dress.

Dear lord, no.

Look, I know they can be cute. Sometimes they’re not even short shorts attached to the top (though that’s rare). But this the absolute worst fashion decision for anyone with a long torso.

Do you know what this means?

Endless wedgies.

Camel toes.

Never-ending discomfort.

How, pray tell, can this replace a dress that feels like you’re walking around in pajamas? That often looks like you’ve put in far more effort than you really did? A maxi dress, a few accessories and comfy sandals, and you’re good to go.

I want to say it’s a desperate ploy from the fashion industry to get rid of the overabundance of rompers on the market. Surely, they don’t really think all women should transition their wardrobes to include endless supplies of rompers. Right?

Please, women, save the rompers for your babies. They will look much cuter in them.
