Summer Bonus Goodebox Review

My Summer Bonus Goodebox has arrived!

Surprisingly enough, the products look almost identical to what’s in the box in the picture.

First things first, the box cost $20, and mine contained 12 items. One item didn’t include information on what it is, so there will be a bit research involved there. Everything seems to be organic and free of harmful chemicals.

The four full-size products. Pardon
the awful photos.

Second, there were four(!) full-size items in the box. Three of the four (individually) are pretty much worth the cost of the box.

Almost all products included a business card-size information card. The cards contain information on the products, instructions and cost of the full-size versions.

Meraki Botanicals Rose Grapefruit Face Oil ($20!) is basically a facial in a bottle. The instructions say to apply two droppers to your face and rub in, then place a warm washcloth over it for a minute. I can’t wait to try it.

The Aila nail polish ($17), in a glittery gold is five-free. None of that scary stuff in most nail polishes. It’s a really pretty color that’s probably ideal in two coats, though one coat provides decent coverage.

I was surprised to see that the Unik Anti-Aging Night Cream with Hyaluronic Acid ($18) was full size. I sincerely hope it works great. I’ll try it out tonight before bed.
I tested the ellovi Tinted Lip Butter ($5) almost immediately. I couldn’t tell there was any tint at all, but it went on smooth and didn’t feel greasy. It’s vegan, and while I don’t love the smell, it does remind me of the homemade lip balm I made with shea butter. I much prefer cocoa butter for a base now, however.

Now for the sample sizes.

balanced guru Scrub Me Nice and Gritty ($22.99 full size) looks like a spice container filled with a pepper blend. But it smells delicious, like coffee and spearmint. You use it with wet hands as an all-over scrub.
Shea Terra Organics Shea Butter 30% Extreme Body Cre’me in Bourbon Vanilla ($16 full size) smells absolutely divine. It’s the thickest body cream I’ve ever come across, almost a thick whip. I absorbs quickly and feels very soft. I’m sure once this one is gone I’ll buy a full size version.
The product I’m most excited about trying is the Tatcha Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder ($65 full size). It’s a powder that you place in your wet hands that turns to foam. It’s meant to exfoliate and condition the skin. I’ve never tried another product like it, so I can’t wait to see how it works.
Gressa Renewing Polish ($38 full size) is a moisturizing facial treatment. Obviously, it’s going to take me a while to get through all of these face treatments, but I expect to have perfectly smooth, beautiful skin in no time.
Seaweed Bath Co. Detox Cellulite Cream ($14.89 full size) is a daily cellulite cream. I’m a bit skeptical of cellulite cream, but I’ll give it a shot. It has a pleasant smell, kind of like tea tree oil, but that’s not listed on the card.
The Earthwise Beauty Green Leaves & Co. Facial Oil ($38 full size) is the one product with no information card. From the website, it’s meant for acne-prone skin. I have combination skin, so I’ll try this out in my problem areas. It smells very earthy and clean.
Dermae Evenly Radiant Brightening Day Cream ($29.95 full size) has SPF 15. This is another product that should be perfect for my uneven skin tone. I use a CC cream almost every morning now, so I’ll swap it out for a bit to see how well this works. I don’t wear much makeup, so anything that will help even out my skin tone will be great.
Zosimos Botanicals Raspberry N Honey Face Mask ($28 full size) is the final product. I’ll probably use this on a weekend because they suggest leaving it on for 5-10 minutes.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this box. It more than pays for itself and includes lots of products I’m interested in trying out. I especially love that anything containing oil was placed in a plastic sealed bag so no oil would leak out all over anything. Very considerate packaging.
I admit, when I opened the mailbox and saw that the box fit in there, I was disappointed. But once I opened it up and saw all the great products, I was pleasantly surprised.
Well worth the $20 cost for the box. Highly recommended.

In the Meantime paid for this box.
